Went to the Blueberry Festival's car show and took the Buick! As far as I know, it was its first car show ever, or at least in quite a long time. People seemed to really enjoy it. You know it's a small town though when more than one person comes up to you and says they not only know who owns the car now, but could remember it being parked in a now-defunct church parking lot from when my wife's great-grandma drove it.
The other cars at the show were great. I got pictures of some of the highlights. I forgot that I was holding a camera for some others though. If anyone is typically in the area or would like to be on Labor Day weekend, it's a pretty good show to go to.
One guy owned a '54 Eldorado and saw me taking pictures of the dash from the outside and came up to me and opened the door and said "Go ahead and sit inside and take some pictures if you'd like! Just don't slam the door." That was pretty nice, although my best angles came from outside the car anyway. I kind of wanted to talk to him about it, but he seemed to think I was some kid who knew nothing and just kept talking about how he was glad that someone my age was interested and how it's important for the younger generations to be interested in these older cars. I agree, and really appreciate that he's letting people sit in his gorgeous car to increase their interest in them, but at the same time, I wanted to talk about actual car stuff! Oh well. It was a great time anyway.

The Buick parked amongst its rivals.
'86 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2! The last beastly RWD Grand Prix, and this one with its awesome rear glass and hilariously small trunk opening was made as a NASCAR homologation special.
This car stood out to me because standing next to it felt like standing next to a 7/8ths scale model of the Buick. It must have been based on the shorter wheelbase GM chassis of the time. Everything just felt smaller.

'73 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale 2-door Hardtop. This is the same car we had when I was born, but ours was green.
A beautiful '61 Corvette. I think this might have been my favorite Corvette (and possibly favorite car) in the show. The late C1s are really growing on me.
Interior of a 1954 Cadillac Eldorado. The owner was kind enough to let me sit in it.
